Short version: no account, no tracking profile, and no stored transcripts.

What we collect

The link you paste is sent to our server so we can fetch the post. Your IP address is held in memory for up to one hour to enforce the hourly request limit. Nothing about you goes into a database, because there is no database.

What happens to the video

The audio is written to a temporary folder on the server, sent to the speech provider, and deleted when the request finishes. Files are not backed up, mirrored, or served to anyone else.

What happens to the transcript

It is returned to your browser and then forgotten. We do not store it, index it, train on it, or make it available at a shareable URL. Close the tab and it is gone, so download the text if you want to keep it.

Third parties

• Speech provider. Audio goes to one specialist speech to text provider, under business terms that exclude the audio from training their models. They receive the audio and nothing about you.
• Hosting. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, the same as any web host.
• Analytics. If analytics is switched on for this deployment, it is a cookie-free page-view counter with no cross-site tracking. There is no Google Analytics and no advertising pixel.

Cookies

None for tracking. Your theme choice is kept in your browser’s local storage and never leaves the device.

Children

This tool is not directed at children under 13.
